Tax Breaks To be Granted to UK Business Angels
|

|
George Osborne’s “Budget for Growth” includes a positive reinforcement for various businesses. Tax breaks will be given as an incentive to business angels who intend to put their investments in Britain’s small companies. This movement is a part of the effort of the chancellor to boost the economy through providing great windows of opportunities to various businessmen and entrepreneurs.
There will be 20% relief given as tax break for individuals according to the current Enterprise Investment Scheme. This is granted to those who are willing to provide up to £500,000 in investments to various companies that are classified as the ones who have below £7M worth of gross assets and less than 50 employees.
However, the UK government is looking into shaking things up to be able to have the “most pro-growth budget for a generation” as it embarks on “promoting an enterprise culture” in the United Kingdom.
David Cameron, the UK Prime Minister said, “The enterprise culture is alive and well in this country. Now we just need an enterprise government to go with it.”
At the moment, businessmen and entrepreneurs will also have the exemption from capital gains tax if they decide to have their investments for three consecutive years in the country.
Businessmen will be very happy with the changes that allowed them to be under a wide scope of the scheme. Moreover, the small businesses will gain so much from this and it will be highly advantageous for them.
There is also a great chance that the chancellor will also increase the rate of tax relief.
